Your hesitation lent itself
To an ocean’s depth of reverence
Like that painting you could never touch
But observe its beauty, transcendent.
Could that ever be my starry eyes
My kaleidoscope dreams hell-bent
On engulfing moments, life’s sweet drugs
Like that way you paused pre-kiss?
You held my stubborn wish-like dreams
And lent me something concrete,
To envelope my absurd inventions
Explore mind’s ocean with intention –
But that could never be my starry eyes
Still stuck on that kaleidoscope?
