She is lost in her thoughts,
Her gaze soars through her mind.
She is in a pause between two worlds,
Caught on the borderline.
Butterflies dance, her stomach in mid-air.
The air is cool, and fresh, and strange,
And anything but clear.
She breathes it deeply,
Filling the empty spaces
That her thoughts have left too vacant.
She is in a transition,
Excited and scared;
Longing for the future
Yet afraid of getting there.
